Silent Hill 2 is a survival horror video game developed by Team Silent and published by Konami in 2001. The game is the second installment in the Silent Hill series and is widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time.

Following Maria’s death, James finally realized that the reason for Red Pyramid Thing’s existence was his own desire to punish himself for his sins.
